Our Story
From Jamaica to Aruba's Sunrise City
Chef Oneil Williams
Owner & Head Chef
20+ Years on the Island. Deeply Connected to Aruba.
Chef Oneil Williams is a Jamaica native who spent years mastering his craft in Aruba's most prestigious Palm Beach resort kitchens. Working alongside international chefs, he refined techniques while staying true to his Jamaican roots.
But he had a bigger dream. The tourist strip had plenty of fine dining. San Nicolas, the sunrise side of the island, had none of it. He saw an opportunity: bring Palm Beach quality to a neighborhood that deserved it.
He opened O'Niel Caribbean Kitchen right along the San Nicolas Art Walk. The growing foot traffic from the art scene brought hungry visitors, and the food brought them back. Word spread. Hotels started recommending it. Tourists began making the 45-minute drive.
Today, O'Niel's is a destination in itself. One of Aruba's only black-owned restaurants, and a place where locals and tourists sit side by side, sharing jerk chicken and stories.
What Makes Us Different
Jamaican-Aruban Fusion
Not just 'Caribbean.' Real Jamaican roots with Aruban heart. Jerk chicken meets garlic conch. Curry goat beside fresh snapper.
Art Walk Location
Right in the heart of San Nicolas Art Walk, surrounded by murals and street art. The dining experience extends into the neighborhood.
Resort Quality, Local Prices
Chef Oneil trained in Palm Beach's finest resorts. He brought that skill to San Nicolas, at prices that won't empty your wallet.
Where Locals and Tourists Meet
Hotel concierges send tourists here. Locals eat here after church on Sundays. That mix tells you everything.
